The “replay” continues with my first trip destination to Belgium again. Belgium was never on top of my “to go” list but things just turned out this way in the end. Perhaps me and Belgium really 有緣. When I was a child I almost emigrated to Belgium, so I had visited this country quite a number of times and had stayed there for a short while.
This time I went to Brugge, the “Venice of the north”. It was a very quiet city with lots of small canals running through it and many old and beautiful buildings nicely preserved. They all add up to a tranquil and romantic environment.
If you have time for a side trip after Brussels, Brugge will be a good choice apart from Anterwerp.
