Last night I watched Evil, a Swedish film and one of this year’s Oscar Best Foreign Film nominees. It’s a story about a youth who struggled to graduate from a boarding school by tolerating violence and bullying. It was his last chance for schooling, as he had previously been expelled from another school because of his violent acts against his classmates. He tried very hard to suppress his ‘evil’ side and be timid but ultimately realised that tolerance did not work. The film wasn’t very violent, but the mood was so intense that I felt very uneasy in the middle and almost wanted to stop watching it. The average Yahoo! user grade is A- .
The remaining Euro vision movie that I am interested in is Don’t Move, starring Penelope Cruz. I heard that it’s showing on major cinemas shortly.

This month’s HK Int’l Film Festival’s (HKIFF) programme is Euro Vision. I watched two of them:

10月23日出版的1876期明周有篇名為「七字頭 - 冇位上的一代?」特稿，文中剖析「七字頭」﹝即出生於七十年代﹞的特徵及心態，並訪問了幾位「七字頭」的人。文章不算太有深度﹝當然，因明周並非學術刊物﹞，但也不失趣味。現轉載文中有關「七字頭」的特徵，與我所有「七字頭」的朋友分享。

I changed the template just now cos the previous one was just too “unbearable”. I wish there were more creative designs available, like the ones from excite Japan! The fonts of the current template came out really small on my computer. Probably it’s a question of display setting, I’m not sure. Anyway, will try to stick with it until I find some easy ways to modify the template design.
